The Ski-Doo Million $ Club Support Program

million

BRP understands that the heartbeat of the snowmobiling community is its volunteers. BRP was there at the beginning when the trail network was being built. BRP is proud to launch a new program that will contribute to the sport – it’s our heritage. For each snowmobiler who fills out and drops off this certificate at a Ski-Doo Dealership of their choice between September 1st, 2009 and November 15th, 2009, BRP and its dealers will donate $10 cash to the member’s club.

Plain and simple. Each snowmobile club is eligible for a total Ski-Doo donation of up to $1,500 in cash (150 members X $10 = $1,500) paid directly to clubs by BRP and Ski-Doo dealers, upon program completion. But that’s not all. Each club could also qualify to win a Ski-Doo® MX Z Adrenaline or Summit Everest 800R snowmobile if you achieve the maximum of $1,500! That’s right, 2 units in the USA and 2 in Canada will be given out. The Club in each of the regions (1 for each region Canada East and Canada West, the same for USA) having obtained both the maximum amount of $1,500 and a minimum of 75% participation rate, will be eligible for the Ski-Doo® MX Z Adrenaline or Summit Everest 800R.

The club in each region with the highest participation rate will receive the snowmobile to use for their own fundraising purposes. Hurry! Go drop off your certificate at your nearest Ski-Doo dealer. Your club will thank you for it!

Presidents Report

My first year as Club President has been quite a learning experience. I have thoroughly enjoyed working with our Board, Club Volunteers, and Groomer Operators. Our Club has been more involved with supporting the Community, increased social events, and has established a great working relationship with other Clubs in District 7.

At my first Board meeting as Club President, my first order of business was to make it perfectly clear to our directors that to be successful, Snowcrest Riders Snowmobile Club must collectively as a Board make the decisions that affect this organization. As Permit buyers / Club members, we appreciate your input, ideas, and suggestions to base some of our decisions on.

2007/2008 Reflection

What a season it was! It was great to be able to get out on the sleds for the Christmas holidays and still be sledding in to the end of March. Who says our season is getting shorter each year?

This season saw our crews having to start over 3 times due to weather. First, many of us were caught a little by surprise with the amount of snow we received early. This caused some problems as the snow came before the frost had entered the ground. Our volunteers were out early on Club sleds to pack the snow on the trails to try and force the frost in to the ground. Once we were almost to the point of having our trails in excellent shape and ready to open, the January rains came with a vengeance. There was major flooding all through our area. Not only were trails washed out and swamps overflowing, but we had homes flooded and roads washed out. I almost forgot to mention – - – - Read the rest of this entry »
