Day Trip – The Diamond
Follow Trail D north to the Bracebridge area and carry on up to 37 North. Head west on Trail 33 to 34 near Bardsville. Trail 34 will meet up with C102D. Follow C102D south-east back into the Bracebridge area. C102D will meet with D, whi9ch can be followed right back into Gravenhurst.
Description: Leaving Gravenhurst you will travel up the Trans Canada Pipeline, a well groomed, wide open trail. Traveling along the Pipeline you travel over one of Ontario’s few floating snowmobile bridges which is put in and taken out each winter allowing boat traffic along the river during the summer. Travel through Bracebridge is mostly through residential areas and road crossings so speed is limited. Once you leave north of town you enter rolling hills with beautiful forect covering. The north end of the trail brings you across lakes and fields and loops back to the main trail to take you back to Gravenhurst.
Pit Stops: Remember to gas up in Gravenhusrt before you leave. Travelers can enjoy lunch along the way at The Country Charm or Diamond in the Ruff along the north end of the loop. Northland Recreation offers fuel and repairs along this trail. Washrooms also located at the stops.
